Inside Track Collection Carnegie fabrics had a firsthand view of the revitalization of NYC's elevated abandoned rail line that was transformed into a
ten-block city park last spring. Being just a few blocks east of this exciting revitalized space in Manhattan, Carnegie's design team, took inspiration for the Inside Track collection from the perspectives and experiences this new landmark park offers. Under the direction of Mary Holt EVP Design, the design team recognized the creation of the Highline as part of a broader trend. Similar urban renewal projects have been cropping up in many American cities with the re-purposing of existing railroad lines to create new spaces for running, walking and cycling. The Inside Track collection visually captures the contrast between nature and industry, while striving to create a balance between performance and design.
